NOTE FROM FILMMAKER
Based on the facts that occurred in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, this film depicts the reconstruction of the heart of people in that area. The earthquake reminded the Japanese people of the most important aspects of human nature that they tend to forget because they take them for granted: such as the gratitude for surviving, the fragility of life and daily living, the bonds of friendship and the spirit of mutual help, the courage to stand up from sorrow, and the courage to face difficulties. This is something that is common throughout the world at a time when people are reevaluating their lives and relationships with others in the wake of the COVID-19 and war, etc. I hope that this film will be an opportunity for people to experience, with all their senses, the beautiful images, music, poetic expressions, and distance between people that we have focused on in this film, and to confront their hearts and their bonds with others.
